Laughing falcon

The laughing falcon (Herpetotheres cachinnans), also called the snake hawk, is a medium-sized bird of prey in the falcon family (Falconidae), distributed in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and other countries in Latin America. Inhabits glades and forest edges in tropical forests. The top of the head is white, the eye area is black, and the beak is yellow. The wings are black, the belly is white, and the tail feathers are streaked with black. Feeds mainly on snakes. Captivity can live up to 14 years.
