Ringneck Parrot

The rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula krameri), also known as the ring-necked parakeet (and more commonly known as the Indian ringneck parrot), is a medium-sized parrot in the genus Psittacula, of the family Psittacidae. Body length 43 cm , with a wingspan of 42-48 cm, a weight of 95-140 g, and a lifespan of 30 years. It is a long-tailed green parrot. The beak is red; the tail is blue, and the end is yellow; the head of the male bird is green, the pillow is blue, the upper body is dark grass green, and the lower body is the same color as the upper body but lighter. At the base of the neck there is a wide pink band around the back and sides; from the front of the neck to the side of the neck there is a half-circle of black tie. The entire head of the female bird is green.
