The yellow-browed warbler is a small insectivorous bird with a narrow and pointed bill. The head is darker in color, with a looming yellow-green longitudinal stripe running through the center of the head. The back feathers are mainly olive green or brown, the upper body including the inner coverts of the two wings is olive green, and the wings have two light yellow-green wing spots. The underparts are white, and the chest, flanks, and undertail coverts are slightly greenish-yellow, as are the axillary feathers. The tail feathers are dark brown, and the male and female feathers are similar in color.
